Let’s chat with New York’s rising bass music talent – Squeejii, new music, upcoming shows, and his dubstep lifestyle.
Presented bytalentagencyandentertainment firm – Professional Headbangerz, today’s interview spotlights one of the underground’s rising forces in heavy bass music: Squeejii.
Known for delivering unfiltered energy across dubstep’s most punishing subgenres – riddim and tearout. Squeejii has been steadily building a catalog of speaker-breaking records designed for the rail and the pit.
With releases like ‘GO BERZERK,’ ‘GRIDDIM,’ ‘ENERGY,’ and the collaborative club weapon with Sentient.exe titled ‘CLUB DESTROYER,’ his sound thrives on metallic screeches, stomping drum patterns, and the kind of earth-shaking drops that turn dancefloors into full-blown headbanger battlegrounds.
Beyond the studio, Squeejii is continuing to make waves on stage, with upcoming appearances including a stacked bass showcase in Madison, Wisconsin alongside heavy-hitting talent in the scene.
As an artist represented by agency – Professional Headbangerz, he embodies the new generation of dubstep – raw, aggressive, and built for the modern rave circuit.
For fans of trenchy riddim chops, tearout chaos, and relentless energy on the decks, Squeejii is a name worth locking into your rotation.
In this interview, we dive into his creative process, the mindset behind his destructive sound design, and what’s next for an artist clearly aiming to leave a dent in the global bass scene.
Q1: Welcome back into our storm system, Letom! What have you been up to lately on the frontline of being Squeejii?
Squeejii: Not too much. I try to stay consistently busy, progressing brand recognition and with music releases. While it’s tough to be consistent, something every artist struggles with, I do my best for sure.
Q2: What can you tell us about your new ID ‘Higher‘ that was previewed on the DMZ News Official twitch.tv stream?
Squeejii: I had a ton of fun making this track. I have been experimenting with new sound design techniques in Serum and managed to create something I feel that sticks to the direction I’m trying to take my music!
Q3:With your latest release ‘GRIDDIM‘ grabbing fans by the bass-face, and shaking it for a brief but brutal 2:32 playtime. Is it a personal choice to keep them brief but brutal? What’s your take on this preference?
Squeejii: I appreciate that. My method was more of such, trying to grab the attention of my audience with something a little different and highlighting the amazing queens we have in our scene. Sometimes, less is more when it comes to production, and I feel as though I really hit the mark with this one!
Q4: With your supporting slot on March 14th for the Hi I’m Ghost show alongside NESRA, Bizen, and Sentient.exe at Photo City Music Hall approaching, what can fans expect from your performance that night?
Squeejii: Having a stake in the back end working with ProfessionalHeadbangerz and Echo Union was a truly unique and informative experience in bringing in talent such as Hi I’m Ghost and our newly added support, Felmax. I feel as though this really highlights my love for dubstep and the culture.
I’d really like to bring that energy into my set to showcase my new projects and inspiration with high energy and bass to match!
Q5: You have two exciting shows coming up in April — April 11th in Rochester, NY, with DirtySnatcha and Mport, and April 17th in Madison, Wisconsin, with HEXXA. Since each lineup leans into slightly different styles and genres, what can fans expect from your performances at these events? Will you be tailoring your sound to match each audience and atmosphere?
Squeejii: While these artists differ in their own ways, I feel as though, I want to stand out by showcasing my craft and how it’s unique to me. I’m definitely excited for these events.
(cont.) Opportunities to continuously meet artists and network are what drive me as an artist, as well as meeting and interacting with those who support me.
Q6: What’s next for you in the later and larger sphere of Squeejii? What do you have planned for the rest of the year (or) what can you share with us here at Monsoon Season?
Squeejii: My goal is to continue working with Professional Headbangerz to lay down a foundation for my brand to grow organically. I wish to continue meeting new artists, working with the artists, and connecting with the people who support my project. Those people are the reason I’m here, and I want to express my gratitude in any way I can.

Q7: Who in your circle or vast reach deserves a little extra spotlight on their careers? Who’s killing it from your perspective? Shout them out, here and now!
Squeejii: If I had to shout anyone out, it would definitely have to be Sentient.exe. Not only is he incredibly talented, but helps me with my music production more than most may know. He has been putting in non-stop work into his own project, and I feel he has some big things coming up.
