BUTTONZ delivers new bass-laced single ‘On The Buttonz‘, giving fans and listeners his first solo release of the year.
BUTTONZ is stepping into 2026 with purpose, soul, and a whole lot of groove on his latest dubstep cut, ‘On The Buttonz.‘
This isn’t just another drop-heavy banger that wales on the wonk factor, it’s deeply personal to Michigan’s Ben Nowacki (BUTTONZ), independently released statement of sound and sonic wholesomeness that hits different once you know the story behind it.
Ahead of his last release with Louie Letdown, this will be Ben‘s first solo release of 2026, and it has been engineered from feel-good moments, nestled in the daily happenings of being BUTTONZ.
Built and forged from real-life moments at Big Fam Music Festival, the track was born inside a geodesic dome turned pop-up studio, where creativity was flowing freely through the Boredomfighters Foundation’s Instrument Garden.
With BUTTONZ on the Moog (synthesizer) cooking up melodies and Detroit’s own Whitney Waz freestyling the now-iconic “buttonz on the buttonz” hook, the vibe was instant – and you can feel that raw, unfiltered energy baked into every second of the track.
Sonically speaking, ‘On The Buttonz‘ rides a smooth, hip-hop laced dubstep pulsation, pulling clear inspiration from the soulful bounce and sample-driven style of the iconic bass music tastemaker, Daily Bread.
The rye-like results is a track that feels laidback yet laser-locked in, with head-nodding grooves, warm textures, and a flow that keeps you glued from its instrumental intro to its otherworldly outro, in its impressive 4:12 runtime.

It’s the kind of tune that doesn’t compete for attention, it earns ut with vibes, feel, authenticity, and replay value. With a community-rooted origin and a sound that bridges funk, bass, and storytelling, BUTTONZ proves he’s not just pushing buttons; he’s pressing into something real.
‘On The Buttonz‘ is out now, available on all streaming platforms, and can be found on our Storm Selects Spotify Playlist.
