Helix shares the creative process behind ‘Concrete Jungle’ with us:
Helix: The creative process was really interesting because I’ve never made a few of these genres before (D&B, UK garage/bassline) I really wanted to push my creative and genre boundaries with this EP.
One day I was in the studio with El Dusty and I was showing him some of these when they were just ideas and unfinished demos. He really liked the demos and told me “let’s release another EP man” so that hyped me up to wrap up all the unfinished music I had.
Sometimes it’s cool to have someone hype you up and light a fire under your ass. I’m really grateful for Dusty and the whole fam at Americano Label/Produce Sound studio for believing in me and helping me along the way with everything from feedback to giving me a place to perfect my craft.

No stranger to releasing pure heat in his repertoire, Helix does it again with his new three-track EP titled “Concrete Jungle” fresh off the heels of his release on Mexico City’s bass queen Jessica Audifredd’s label, A Records with his single Brazzeel.
Being released with Latin Grammy-nominated and platinum award-winning music producer “El Dusty“‘s record label, Americano Label – this three-set of tunes is a proof of concept that Helix can be immensely proud of.

Helix: Definitely release more music. Got some singles and collabs that need to see the light of day. Looking to book more out of state shows/festivals. Other than that, I just plan to keep creating music and getting better.
