New Year’s Eve is a time to celebrate and a time for letting it all out as a end-of-the-year hoorah before the we add another number to the Gregorian calendar. We as a civilization have been celebrating the end of a year for the past millennia. Common celebratory activities include attending parties, gatherings, making resolutions, and setting off fireworks.
Anyone and everyone in the diehard electronic dance music community knows that when this time of the year comes around to get ready for events to start dropping festival lineups that are incredibly stacked with headlining talent. They bring out dance music’s biggest name sand put them on the biggest stages with the utmost amazing production.
My personal experience first began in Denver, Colorado at Decadence 2012 with headliners Flosstradamus, Krewella, Wolfgang Gartner, Zeds Dead, ATB, and Mimosa. I hadn’t ever experienced such a celebratory event that held such energy and lasting inspiration. Here we are 10 years later and I am still talking about it. That’s powerful.
