Take a trip into bass-laden deep space with Dirtybeats’ new Others EP via DeepLegends

San Jose, CA’s very own Dirtybeats delivers his all-new Others EP on the esteemed record label, DeepLegends; showcasing his dynamic sound via four tracks.
Probus, Type 1, Onyx, and Astra all make up the Others EP by rising bass music producer Dirtybeats. Given the titles of the tracks within the EP, we are already getting deep space vibes and alien-like theming.

Probus starts off the EP with a mesmerizing drum pattern and eerie soundscapes that create a captivating rhythm rich with tension. These haunting elements enhance the impressive 3:59 runtime, drawing the audience deeper into an unforgettable auditory journey.
Type 1, the second track of the Others EP, features powerful bass that captivates listeners from the start. The buildup intricately leads to a bold dubstep section. Dirtybeats showcases sound mastery, with a striking contrast between consonant sounds and energetic synths that create an intense atmosphere. In its 4:00 runtime, this tune delivers an unforgettable experience, where each beat pulls the listener deeper into its vast void.
Onyx, coming as the third installation into the Others EP, is an ethereal and minimalistic yet energy-laden addition that reminds listeners of the journey ahead into deep space. Each carefully crafted sound layer contributes to a sense of weightlessness, evoking the vastness of the cosmos and the mysteries it holds.
Astra, the finale to the Others EP from start to finish, each second of its even 4:00 runtime is used carefully and meticulously, with moments of tension and release that mirror the unpredictable nature of exploration, leaving listeners both entranced and eager for what lies beyond the stars.

Dirtybeats shares his creative process:
“The creative process for my new Others EP involved an exciting blend of hardware and software, using tools like the Push 2 and Moog Sub 37 CV to craft unique soundscapes.“
Dirtybeats shares what tech he used:
“I experimented with the Mini Nova and KeyLab by Arturia to layer rich textures, while the 2600 Grey Meanie analog synth added depth and warmth to the tracks. The 2600 Grey Meanie is really great for the bleeps and bloops. When I can I do as much live recording of samples as I can incorporating Serum for its versatile VST capabilities that allow me to explore a wide range of sonic possibilities.“
Dirtybeats adds in:
“Throughout the development, I focused on blending these elements seamlessly, resulting in a cohesive project that reflects my artistic vision and passion for exploration in sound.“
