Phunk Bias & BRiXX go galactic with new bass collab titled – ‘Lite Speed‘ via Grand Alliace Music.
Phunk Bias and BRiXX take us on a cosmic journey w/ ‘Lite Speed‘, gliding through the galactic void, delivering dubstep from deep space.
Chicago-born and now Florida-based, Phunk Bias carves out a tributary of his own by fusing funk, soul, and old-school hip-hop with forward-thinking bass music production methods, techniques, and stylized approach. His signature sound – instantly recognizable and deeply embedded across his catalog – balances nostalgic groove with modern low-end energy.

That refined style has earned him releases on a range of respected platforms, including Wonk#ay Records, True To The Sound, Jumpsuit Records, Psychocybin Recordings, and Grand Alliance Music solidifying his presence in the evolving bass music landscape.
Phunk Bias also doubles down with his side project with Willdabeast called Sassabrass, a instrumental meets dynamic dubstep identity team duo, packing a punch with their brass, bass, and ass-kicking soundscapes.
Denver-based BRiXX, a multi-genre music producer who is no stranger to his music hub home there in the bass capital of Colorado. While releasing his original music on the world stage with singles like recent works ‘Just A Dream‘, and ‘BLAST‘, which appeared on Wonk#ay Records’ Forever Contagious global album series, he is also co-founder of True To The Sound collective, a collaborative community of electronic bass music artists pushing underground music culture.

Their latest collab, the reason why we are here, ‘Lite Speed‘. This tune rides low and smooth, blending old-school hip-hop flavor, funk grooves, and soulful textures into a modern dubstep framework that feels effortlessly cool.
With this collab, it’s not about going full-throttle – it’s about control, ability to bounce between sound, and pocket the after effects that the combined soundscape delivers.
Danny, of Phunk Bias says: “It’s always a treat to work with Brad. Our styles just blend together really well. Releasing this with Grand Alliance Music makes it even more special.”
The song contains a modest swagger that doesn’t need a full-blown build, fake-out, or drop that overshadows the contents of the collab. ‘Lite Speed‘ spotlights the beauty of teamwork, collaboration, and putting their personal polymer in between the DAW and themselves as producers.
‘Lite Speed‘ leans into those funk-inspired rhythms and jazzy undertones weaving through the mix, giving that iconic head-nod factor while still keeping things rooted in underground bass music culture – as they do; remaining true to the sound.
‘Lite Speed‘ is out now on Grand Alliance Music. Stream is today, follow their music pages, and on social media platforms to stay in the loop with all-things GAM.
