Lizzy Jane revitalizes with her new drum n’ bass release ‘Lifeline‘, a love letter to hopeless romantics.

Electronic bass music producer and EDM-centered podcaster Lizzy Jane has again graced us with a new release, this one is ‘Lifeline‘.
Fresh off her latest release run of remixes of her Ignite EP, notably titled ‘Re/Ignite’ – featuring a stacked lineup of remixers such as Jason Leech, AVELLO, Blookah, ZOF, So Sus, and Business Casual.
All the while, we position this info alongside her recent performance at Getter‘s return show (Ressurection) via Brownies & Lemonade in L.A. with Leotrix – now, you are beginning to outline her meteoric ascension as of late.
This time around, she presents to us “Lifeline” – as she puts it: “a song about finding strength on your own terms”, which in this day and age, is quite honestly a message that most of us can relate to in some way, shape, or form.
“Lifeline” begins with a vocal sample that’s backed by a drum n’ bass drum pattern that’s slowly filtered in, helping bring tension and anticipation as you wonder what may be next.

This intro is very much focused on Lizzy Jane’s stellar vocals and helps set the mood for the rest of the track.
When we approach the build, something she does on the production side of things is let the low end fully through the mix at this point, adding this extra punch you didn’t quite notice you were missing before until now, and this is executed beautifully and seamlessly.
When the drop kicks in, that’s when it hits you that you’re listening to an absolute melodic adventure, with the perfect collision of melodic elements and the chest pounding drums, you are forced to sit in your seat, fasten your seatbelt, and just absorb the ride.
Carefully crafted chord progressions and properly placed vocal adlibs are also on full display and are essential to fitting the vibe and creating the atmosphere this track manages to do so well.
Lizzy Jane has dialed in on her DNB style over the last year, and that is showcased here fully. The crisp mixdown allows each element to be heard properly and felt as needed, which is something that takes years for producers to dial in on, and it seems she has managed to fit her sweet spot with her mixing and mastering skills!
The second drop takes all of the elements that we loved in the first half of this track, and it flips it into a fun and unique twist I didn’t see coming upon first listen. It almost comes in with a hardstyle pattern that rails through your subs (that could set off car alarms) and then adds a more typical kick/snare pattern that adds a more laid back flow to ride out to.
This track is perfectly structured to keep things interesting and cohesive as you ride out through the journey.
