Lizzy Jane is continuing to blaze through her release of singles with “Where You Are” – leading up to her highly anticipated E.P. titled “Ignite”.
This week we were blessed with another fast paced track promptly titled “Where You Are”, and this one is a total switch up from her previous release, yet still manages to encapsulate the vibe and sound , expressing that both of these tracks belong to and support the same body of work.
“Where You Are” opens instantly with a fast paced intro that has vocal chops placed promptly over a lead that is completely lo- end focused, creating this underlying texture and feel while the drums come rolling in with that crisp drum and bass sound we all have come to love.
This track is quite simple yet powerful, and I instantly found myself listening to it on repeat upon first listen. “Where You Are” is all about being in the now, both mentally and physically, and Lizzy Jane managed to convey that exact emotion the entire time this track plays out.
It honestly reminds me of the vibes of an old school rave, not the loud bass music shows we’ve grown used to, but instead, when EDM was just starting out and very underground. When you hear it, the faced pace, energy and emotion has no choice but to come out to its listeners.
This song clocks in at just under 3 minutes which helps it not overstay its welcome, but also allows for you to smack that repeat button when you need an extra boost of serotonin.
