Koroshi fuses fear w/ bass music via ‘The Enmityville Horror’ horror-inspired single [Track Write-Up]

Enmity Collective alumni Koroshi strikes gold yet again in his latest dubstep banger promptly titled The Enmityville Horror.

THE ENMITYVILLE HORROR | OUT NOW

Koroshi begins The Enmityville Horror with a haunting and pulsating bass pattern accompanied by some fun yet menacing vocal samples that slowly introduce the theme and vibe of the track we are about to set forth into.

This track doesn’t fuck around and Koroshi quickly gets to its point. Not even thirty seconds into the track, you already have an established theme and are already climbing the mountain to the notorious drop that lies ahead. Well-crafted and passed track if you ask me.

When the drop rolls in, you are instantly obliterated by a crazy low-end that is bound to test the limits of your subwoofers.

In the background, there’s a high-pitched sustain bass that creeps through the mix, but it’s not too present to become a main element which I truly enjoy. This drop is nearly perfect mixdown-wise, with all the bass elements and proper blending of the main screaming vocal that remind you this song is inspired by ‘the horror movie genre’ to say the least.

It’s brutal, it’s menacing, and it’s all-around fun.

Koroshi shares on his SoundCloud:

“This is one of the last songs I made on FL Studio before making the switch to Live 12. I really fell in love with this song and felt it still deserved to see the light of day outside set secrets. So enjoy!”

Soon after the wonky basses do their thing, you get a small break that’s also another build to transcend this adventure. The second drop incorporates variations of the main bass patterns presented in the first drop, but this one tends to have extra grit and rapid pacing that helps show this drop is the heavier of the two (if you had to pick one).

All around, The Enmityville Horror is exactly what it needs to be. It’s the perfect length to establish its point without overstaying its welcome, meanwhile also sticking true to its theme by consistently using the haunting female scream vocal as a backing yet almost a main element. This track is guaranteed to devastate your next dance music event and will also be perfect for double drops and chopping sections if you’re into that DJing style.
