The Enmity Collective has been making some fast moves lately, and with two members of their collective’s roster, Kami Koroshi and U.R.U, returning to our skies for a massive collab on this next banger of a track, Drum Set.

Drum Set begins with a haunting choir and cinematic elements that closely resemble the sounds of the apocalypse. Shortly after this eerie intro and build roll through, we are given an absolute comedic pre-drop sample from the smash hit movie Step Brothers.
I honestly love this choice of movie sampling because it reminds me of times around 2009-2010 when dubstep used all sorts of samples like this from movies and entertainment.
It was less “headbanger motherfucker” and more “loouuuud noises” and I always preferred that element to tracks. Feels more personable.
After this, we are absolutely fucked in the ears as an absolute riddim heater explodes through your speakers. This drop is pure aggression that deserves to be on the Subsidia roster.
This track is perfect for live sets as the drums rail perfectly and punch you in the gut, and meanwhile, the bass pattern is simple, catchy, and brutal, which is the big three to me for any iconic drop.
The second drop really gives that throwback vibes with its sound design and pattern choices! Honestly, this is the best way to write a song in my opinion. You have the killer intro, an insane first drop, and then have total fun and switch it up completely for the second half. A stellar choice by these two artists right here!
This hands down is my favorite release from these guys, and I definitely will be adding to my live sets!
