TechTonic plunges below the surface level to discover the depths of dubstep’s subaquatic society via new single – ‘Bioluminescence‘.

There is something lurking beneath the surface – and no, it’s not another saturated rinse-and-repeat drop. TechTonic dives deep with ‘Bioluminescence,’ the titled track of his sophomore album, and it’s less of a song and more of a full-on sub-aquatic experience.
Right from the initial plunge, ‘Bioluminescence‘ pulls you into a futuristic underwater society where humanity has evolved past land life, merging with nature into a glowing, aquatic ecosystem. It’s world-building at its finest.
The narration opens the story, setting a cinematic tone before the production takes over. Garnering introspective melodies drifting like ocean currents, layered with gritty bass sound design techniques, massive neuro-infused fills, and glitchy percussion that snap like sonar signals in the deep.
And then, out of nowhere, ethereal saxophone lines cut through the mix, adding a hadal-like haunting soundscape, almost spritual texture that hits different on the ears.
As the title track to his second album, and first release off of it, this is just the entry point into the full album experience, where TechTonic expands the lore, exploring different corners of this underwater civilization and the stories within it.

He says: “Bioluminescence” combines aggressive rhythmic and neuro-basses, drippy, glitch-inspired percussion, and a liquid atmosphere to paint the picture of a future human civilization underwater. I also sprinkled in some narration by myself to move the story along and set up the rest of the album.
TechTonic adds in:
I also have a few festivals announced for summer 2026 including Michigan’s Booney Bash, Morfog Festival, and Gems n Genetics Festival as well as some unannounced ones in the pipeline as well.
Be on the lookout for a few more singles and the rest of the album coming in the next few months!
