FAST FORWARD TO 3024: Jane Doe Unleashes Her Futuristic Neurofunk Fortress EP on VTO Records.

Four new tracks from the award-winning South Australian DNB producer, Jane Doe on the UK-based VTO Records
The gears of the future grind heavy in Jane Doe’s new four-track EP, a blistering display of neuro-funk and DNB prowess arriving on VTO Records, ahead of her recent display of DNB diva-like dominance via their Cells Interlinked Vol. 1 series.
No stranger to our platform, Jane Doe is back in our thunderous atmosphere with four new tunes to revel in – and we are stoked! The last time we had her on our radar, her exclusive guest mix and interview left us in a state of awe.

Centered around a dystopian narrative set in the year 3024, the project tells a story of civilization collapsing under its anti-altruistic ambitions – artificially intelligent rebellions, corporate dominion, and the loss of identity in a hyper-mechanized world.
With each track building on this apocalyptic vision, Jane Doe crafts a cinematic and relentless experience, saturated in tech-driven basslines, syncopated breakbeats, and brutal neuro-fueled atmospheres.
Within the Fortress EP lies four new high-octane tunes by Jane Doe – Stood Up, All In, Pieces, and POP.
This isn’t just music – this is a message from the future // begin transmission
Track 1 | Stood Up
The EP opens with the scorched-earth energy of Stood Up – a track that immediately drops listeners into the chaos. A war cry for rebellion in the ruins, the tune delivers glitchy synth stabs, aggressive bass, and clinical percussion that punches with surgical intent. The breakdown feels like watching surveillance drones scan a cratered battlefield, only to dive back into a full-throttle drop that echoes with paranoia and grit. It’s the perfect tone-setter for the dystopian tale to follow from Jane Doe.

Track 2 | All In
Next up is All In, a cybernetic gamble with survival. Featuring razor-sharp sound design and skittering drum programming, this tune encapsulates what makes modern neurofunk so gripping. Jane Doe flexes her modulation chops here — the basslines morph and evolve like rogue AI gone sentient, while atmospheres swell like digital smoke over a neon wasteland. There’s no turning back with this track — it’s a push into the unknown, full throttle and fearless.
…
Track 3 | Pieces
The third track, Pieces, slows things down in tempo but not in weight. This is the emotional center of the EP – a track soaked in haunting pads, minimalist drums, and shattered vocal samples that evoke post-human melancholy. There’s a ghost-in-the-machine quality to the production, with glitchy accents and fractured rhythms conveying a sense of loss, memory corruption, and the remnants of a once-human soul trying to reconnect with reality. Neurofunk with feeling – Jane Doe proves she’s not just about precision, but purpose.

Track 4 | POP
Closing the EP is track four, titled POP, a track that brings the heat like an explosive resistance broadcast hacked into the mainframe. The intro builds with acidic squelches and distorted textures, setting up for a drop that slaps with dancefloor-intended madness. The rhythm is kinetic, the FX are chaotic, and the basslines crackle with the energy of a city on the brink. It’s dirty, it’s raw, and it’s the sonic equivalent of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a robot patrol. If the world ends, at least we’re dancing.
Final transmission: Jane Doe’s Fortress EP is more than a release – it’s her vision. Equal parts cinematic and club-ready, this release on VTO Records is a testament to her storytelling through sound. With neuro-funk engineering, DNB power, and an apocalyptic concept baked into every detail, this project cements her as a force to watch in the bass world.
The future might be bleak — but it sounds incredible.
