Portland, OR’s own Golden Goddess shines a light on suicide prevention awareness in her latest EDM endeavor titled ‘Reasons To Live‘, an eight-track album.
From bass music to rap, Golden Goddess is here for the people, garnering a message to those suffering in silence.
Golden Goddess, an inspiring electronic dance music producer hailing from the vibrant, lush, and torrential Portland, Oregon scene, is illuminating the overcast skies with her electrifying beats and a heart full of compassion.
Her latest collaborative album, “Reasons To Live,” is a powerful testament to her dedication to uplifting her community, featuring eight tracks infused with the talents of eight remarkable acts, artists, producers, instrumentalists, singers, and songwriters, all coming together to create a musical revolution that resonates with hope and joy. In order of appearance on the tracklist are – Golden Goddess, Acer Vantes, Lyk Magik, üfonic, Dr. Gold, Farukon, S.W.

100% of the royalties from streaming these Suicide Prevention tracks will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where the money will be used to help support and uplift people who are struggling with suicidal thoughts.”

Let’s catch up with her in this exclusive interview below as she opens up about the album, the taboo topic of suicide prevention, and what we can expect from her going forward in 2025.
Q1: ‘Reasons To Live‘ is jam-packed with talent, creativity, and meaningfulness. Where did you come up with the idea for the album, and what does it mean to you?
A1: If we rewind time to when ‘Golden Goddess’ was founded, I had just freed myself from a very abusive situation. It was my dream to make music, but I thought that you had to be “chosen” or that I just couldn’t do it. One day, as I was feeling suicidal after the abuse, something clicked in my brain and I made a choice. I chose to stay alive and make music to encourage other people to stay alive. It has always been my intention to write uplifting and healing music for the community, to help others feel and process emotions.
The first song I ever released was called ‘United in Silence,’ which is dedicated to domestic abuse survivors and people who struggle with self-injury. You will find ‘United in Silence’ on the new album ‘Reasons to Live‘ – this song holds a special place in my heart. From my experience, there is nothing more powerful than using our voices to heal the community and convince someone not to end their life.
While the original multi-genre album ’20 Reasons to Live’ was made by over 40 artists and musicians was very special, I started to feel like it was not a fully cohesive project, being that it was filled with so many different music styles. That’s when I decided to update and re-master the album with only the EDM tracks and title it ‘Reasons to Live‘.
The topics of suicide prevention and freedom from abuse are very important to me and resonate with my journey, and I hope to reach others who feel they are struggling with similar experiences and make them feel less alone and uplifted. I hope to inspire you to feel powerful enough to leave unhealthy relationships, stay alive, keep fighting, and strive to be a better person every day. Be kind to yourself, always.
I have also lost friends and family members to suicide, which we all know is never easy. Their souls live on but the pain never goes away. This album, ‘Reasons to Live’ is meant to heal your heart from these challenging moments, whether you have lost someone or struggled in your own life.
Q2: What is your message to the world and those who are suffering in silence and need this music to make it through the day?
A2: Music is so powerful it honestly makes me emotional. The connection we experience at festivals and the emotions we feel through the music and lyrics can heal souls. My main message is to stay alive, reach out to friends or resources if you need help, feel safe to express your emotions, and never give up. Find peace and beauty in small moments. We can make the world a better place by being kind to each other. These songs are written from my soul to yours and I hope they make your struggle a little easier.
Q3: As we are halfway through 2025, have you accomplished or progressed on any new goals as of late?
A3: 2025 has already been a pivotal year for my brand and I am so grateful. I released my first music video ever called ‘Keep Your Heart Safe’ with Acer Vantes and announced our new duo project called Golden Angels. We already have tons of melodic and uplifting soul music lined up to release soon.
In March, I hosted my annual suicide prevention fundraiser and raised $2400 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
In July, I am taking my annual ‘Halloween in July’ show on tour to new cities, Spokane and Las Vegas! And in August I will be hosting my first domestic violence workshop at a local festival.
Q4: What can your fans, listeners, and our audience expect from you in 2025, musically?
A4: You will be seeing lots of new music coming from Golden Goddess, my side project Golden Angels, and a new rap identity!
I am in the process of filming more music videos and planning to host many more events. I look forward to connecting with the community more on important topics such as Freedom From Abuse and Suicide Prevention.
Right now, I am looking forward to performing at Electric Forest, Dancefestopia, Ohm on the Range, and many more. Cheers to another amazing year and thank you for supporting my music vision.
