ILL SHIT [Track Write-Up]

[Boise-based] dubstep don of the area HippieFlipped is known for his explosive drops, long bass lines, and insane fusion of manipulated hip-hop vocals and samples. In this particular track, we have here, ‘ILL SHIT‘ is exactly that, a fortified production of some seriously sick s**t.
‘ILL SHIT‘ came onto our radar during our first run-in with HippieFlipped’s interview a couple of months ago when we were first introduced. Right then and there I knew this producer was well-worth and overdue for taking over our social media and audiences for a full week.
The introduction reminds me of a whirlwind into the past and fully enveloped to symbolize ‘Sweet Dreams‘ by The Eurythmics (at least, in my head, it does). Then almost instantly the contemporary electronic overlay of sounds and synths begin to take hold incrementally with punches, drums and claps to start a build-up of a lifetime.
Throughout the track, you can expect to find some of heaviest the nastiest drops, screeched-out hard-hitting swipes of bass to utterly brutalize your very being.
‘ARE YOU READY FOR SOME ILL SHIT?’
The second drop really drives it in with the souped-up variation of the first as it pushes the boundaries of what you can fit into a track. The bone-crushing bass is met with a hyped-up, energetic, and brief hardstyle finish to really leave the spit hanging from your lip in excitement.
This is HippieFlipped’s ‘ILL SHIT‘ and we highly recommend playing this out several times, loud as f**k, and on repeat!
