Q5: We hear DirtySnatcha has a tour nearing its final stop and his album release of Back To The Basics, what can you share with us about each exciting bit of news?

A5: DirtySnatcha‘s album Back to the Basics offers fans a nostalgic dive into old-school dubstep. The album highlights his roots in the genre, with hard-hitting tracks that showcase his unique sound.

A6: DSR‘s project Pop Goes The Riddim Vol. 1 is an ambitious collaborative effort aimed at bridging the gap between various music genres and mediums. The goal is to take popular pop songs and give them a fresh twist, highlighting the talents of the artists they work with. Instead of relying on samples or original recordings, DSR plans to recreate every aspect of the tracks, from instrumentals to vocals.

They will work with a wide range of vocalists—singers, rappers, screamers—who will each deliver their unique renditions. This approach not only avoids the challenges of sample clearance but also allows DSR to release these tracks as cover songs, much like rock bands have done. The project seeks to bring underground talent to the mainstream while offering a new take on familiar tunes.

A7: For the remainder of 2024 and into the new year, DSR has several key goals and aspirations. First, they plan to transfer their catalog and accounting to Virgin Music for distribution, a move aimed at expanding their reach. Clean up our old online presence and redistribute and remaster old releases that may have been lost. While focusing on creating a detailed marketing content schedule for both current and upcoming releases we will simultaneously be updating our website, creating a discord, an email newsletter, and launching our merch line.

In terms of projects, DSR is working on gathering submissions for Pop Goes The Riddim Vol. 1 and finalizing We Are DSR Vol. 1, an important milestone for the label. Additionally, they aim to create a mix to help promote these new releases, ensuring that their work reaches a wider audience and gains momentum in 2024.

Q8: Can you give a rising artist or record label any tips for growth, expansion, or how they themselves can one day, be in your shoes?

A8: DirtySnatcha offers several important tips for rising artists or record labels aiming for growth and expansion.

First, consistency and hard work are key. Artists should focus on promoting their music actively on social media to increase visibility and connect with new audiences. This also means taking risks and not being afraid to make moves in the industry.

When submitting tracks, DirtySnatcha advises comparing your music to the label’s releases in terms of mastering quality. If you need professional mastering or mixing, be upfront about it, but ensure your track is prepared for the process. Additionally, being marketable is crucial.

Beyond having great music, artists should provide information about themselves, including their career activities, supporters, catalog, and any performances they’ve done. This will help the label market your release effectively.

Finally, artists should focus on creating content that can be used to promote their music, ensuring they have materials ready for marketing campaigns.
