ZOA and Raddix bring the sounds of tomorrow to today’s doorsteps with ‘Nightmare’ – a psytrance-infused bass tune.
ZOA, a duo of masked, instrument-bearing beings, and rocking a larger-than-life on-stage presence – is taking the electronic dance music sector by force with their alluringly veiled look and next-level tunes.
Worldwide-known singer, vocalist, and songwriting phenom known as Raddix has thrown his thunderous tracheal skills into the ground-shaking tune by our new favorite multi-instrumental duo, ZOA.

Two of today’s most groundbreaking acts collide in a marvelous and riveting fashion with this new song, ‘Nightmare‘ – a wildly addicting psytrance dubstep fusion heater that needs to be heard by the masses, pronto.
From its brooding cinematic style to the upbeat and energetic sections, Nightmare is a proof of concept that vocally rich dance music is very much so still alive and well, even if its only in your nightmares.
Our hats are off to ZOA for creating such a tantalizing beat, and to Raddix for delivering such powerful vocals to the track, both of which; amalgamating this end product of prowess.

Q1. Tell us about your new song Nightmare and how it came to be. From fruition to finish, where did this song come from?
ZOA: We were sitting in the studio and were inspired to create a dubstep song with the elements of overdriven guitars and bass. We knew we wanted to add an element of psytrance and followed up the second drop with a minimal traditional psytrance beat. Raddix was the singer we had in mind as we had just finished up our last single “Castle of Dragons” which was rock-inspired as well. We finished up all the elements and sent it over to Raddix and shortly after we had a banger of a song finished!

Q2. In regards to the vocal selection for Nightmare, was Josh [Raddix] always going to be on the track or did that happen after the song was finished?
ZOA: While writing the song we already had Raddix in mind.
Q3. What creative processes went into the technical side of making the song? What sort of elements and techniques were at play here that may differentiate this song from others you’ve made?
ZOA: Psytrance has been a style that we loved and started implementing into our songs recently. This is I think the third or fourth time we have written part of the song in this style, and we love it! The process of writing guitar melodies with electronic music opens up a huge world of possibilities, and naturally with Nightmare all the elements flowed so well during the creative process which made the technical side of production easy.
Q4. What’s next for ZOA? Tell us about the next development or installment your fans and listeners can look forward to!
ZOA: Currently we are prepping for our biggest show yet at Global Dance Festival, we are introducing new aspects to our set including new visuals, live instruments & HOLOGRAMS!

Q1. Welcome back, Josh. It’s always a pleasure to have you in our thunderous atmospheres. What’s been new since we last covered your debut album?
Raddix: As always it’s great to be back! Thank you so much for having me. Since I was last here, so much has happened! I was invited to and went to my first Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. It was so inspiring to see all the artists who write the soundtrack to our lives and have the opportunity to represent our EDM community.
I recently dropped a collaboration song titled “EMPTY” with CABUIZEE, signed to Emeng[e] Records, that was remixed by many amazing artists like K Theory, Soul Valient, CHVOS, Bellorum, MOZX and played out by Excision on his Nexus Tour.
Also, I’ve been performing many headlining shows and recently opened for Steve Aoki with my great friend INTERNET FAMOUS.
Q2. Your new song Nightmares is out now with ZOA. We feel this song is vocally nostalgic to your previous works from 2020 and 2021. How does Nightmare comfortably nestle yet firmly stand out as an exciting new song in such a large discography that fans can get lost in?
Raddix: I remember when writing this song I wanted to bring that old school Raddix style vocals reminiscent of my songs like “SHE”(2019) and “AFRAID” (2018). This also is the only and first psytrance song I have been a part of. I remember as soon as ZOA sent it over, I heard the song and I immediately knew what kind of melodies I wanted to use.
Sometimes writing these songs so fast and naturally really do make for the greatest of music. Lastly, ZOA inspires me to bring out my rockstar energy so I wanted to bring some heavier vocals in the drops, I really love how we collaborate on these songs.
Q3. As a singer, vocalist, and songwriter yourself, what sort of professional or industry nightmares or scary EDM scene memories can you think of that may surprise readers and fans?
Raddix: As a singer, there has been many times in my career where producers didn’t want to give me credit as a vocalist and songwriter, I’ve had to fight hard over the years to keep the credit I know my music deserves. People have also tried to steal the copyrights of my music, some record labels don’t pay out the artists or agencies have not supported my brand because it’s not a “traditional” EDM act.
Regardless of it all, my faith and my love for creating music has kept me unshaken. I hope if anything is taken away from this article is that you should chase your dreams – no matter the obstacles. You only get one life, so live it.
Q4. What’s next for Raddix in the coming summer and fall months? Any hints or leaks at upcoming music or events?
Raddix: Well, I have a brand new song with Dallas-based artist FullyMaxxed titled “11:30” that just came out on July 8th with an experimental bass sound! Also, after joining the Grammys last year I’ve been taking opportunities to work with my recording academy peers. I currently have a new song with Grammy Award winner Nathalie Bonin and EDM artist Klon with melodic bass sounds that we are currently looking to sign with a label.
I also have a song with Pushing Daizies (Riot Ten & STOUTTY) with nostalgic 2013-2016 EDM vibes that we’re planning to hopefully release sometime soon but nothing is set in stone yet. But please keep an eye out for updates on songs and performances by following me on my socials: @raddixofficial
