Canadian-located bass music duo known as Smiles Only releases their highly-anticipated remix extended play of their original ‘New Era’. The remixed EP consists of five new variations from Frantik, Trounce, Future Twist, DOIL, and Dangerouz on the Emengy record label. Each remix spans the genres of dubstep, future bass, midtempo, along with experimental bass, all encompassing the vast spectrum of what is possible in this electronic age.
The track list of this EP is as follows from start to finish; the first track – New Era is remixed by Frantik, then No Escape is remixed by Trounce, Save The Humans is remixed by Future Twist, Killjoy which features MagMag is remixed by DOIL, and lastly, the track Digital Bliss with Mully and Robbie Rosen is remixed by Dangerouz.
No kidding, Smiles Only is already known for sending out pure and untapped heat in their releases as is with the original New Era EP standing alone as a powerhouse development. Then, uniting 5 producers to take on the effort of remixing it is just what we want and need as fans. We are all smiles over here.
The range in genres is refreshing to look forward to in this remix EP. Each producer took what they know best and recreated a masterpiece in their vision of the original.
From dystopian dubstep by the likes of Frantik, upbeat basshouse from the sounds of Trounce, and futuristic soundscapes of electronic bass duo Future Twist.
Not to forget what insanity DOIL brought to the EP with his tearout-esque remix and finishing it off with the sensational variation by Dangerouz which is a breathtaking hardstyle remix.
Each installation of Smile’s Only New Era Remixed EP is well-crafted and thoughtfully developed. The contrast in genres included is not something you find often so we will definitely be listening to this on repeat.
