RECLUZE Drops His 3-Track EP Titled ‘The Spider’ On Brainsick Records. Webbing In Collabs With Wheysted, OOPH, And Features From Yokai And JGray
Written by: Garth Jones

Colorado-based trap/bass music artist RECLUZE unleashes his debut extended play under the titled ‘The Spider‘ on Brainsick Records. Containing three outstanding tracks ‘The Spider’, ‘Spin’ That’, a collaborative effort with Greeley (Colorado) artist OOPH that features rap vocalist Yokai, and ‘Time To Mosh‘ featuring JGray, also a collaborative piece with Los Angeles-located artist Wheysted.

‘The Spider‘, being the flagship track to the EP is a solo-production from RECLUZE. Garnering stylized yet educational vocal sample-work as an introduction to the track and EP as a whole. The sample work follows through the track reminding the listener of the importance and resilient role the spider plays in our and their ecosystems synergistically.
The trap beat is apparent and studded with a cathedral-esque soundscapes that meshes ever-so-perfectly. Seamlessly combining the two styles into one cohesive genre-bending end-product. This audio arachnid has reminded us all once again he is hard-at-work with his music production skills, wielding from each of his 8 arms/legs.
____
‘Spin That’ the collaborative effort with OOPH that features rap vocalist Yokai is a true showcase of what skills can create when three minds are put into one track. From the catchy and creative lyrics to the immensely articulate sound usage, it all weaves together well.
The two Colorado-based artist have truly put their two mile-high minds together to put down one helluva track for the world to hear. These two work together so well since they are friends and have played Back2Back (b2b) at the illustrious Church Nightclub in Denver together. The chemistry is definitely there in the track due to this.

‘Time To Mosh’, the final collaboration on the EP with Wheysted leaves quite the lasting impression. The fusion of RECLUZE’s iconic trap sound with Wheysted‘s hard and heavy bass music presence is perfect as it lays in with the lyrical rap setup JGray sets up.
‘Time To Mosh Until I Feel All The Bruises’
From the get-go; ‘Time To Mosh’ allows the listener to gear up for a gritty experience with its intro packed with hyped-up lyrics before it sends off into a bass beatdown. Just like in traditional mosh-pit fashion, the music starts and all bets are off. Elbows are flying, necks/backs are being thrown out, and shoes are being tossed through the air. This collab emulates that very scenario.

The vision for this EP was to show the world WHO RECLUZE is, WHY spiders are important and HOW I relate to them. With the ever changing environment of the world we live in, i felt it was only right to use “the Spider” to make a difference in the world, much like how spiders have made such a big impact on the world and continue to.
