GL17CH. SLC’s Glitch In Their Sound System

Please welcome GL17CH to the ever-growing storm!

Q1: Welcome to the storm, we’re elated to have you with us! What can you tell us about the origin story behind the alias, GL17CH?

A1: So when I was 15 I lost my dad. That made me have to find a hobby/passion to focus on to get my head out of the clouds. When I started producing I came up with just the name GLITCH but later on figured out that the name would look sicker with a 17 in the middle and quite frankly I just vibes with it a ton.

Q2: Being a Denver resident its perks and challenges. Can you describe your favorite part of being in the mile-high?

A2: Well… I was a Denver resident for a few weeks but then my heart kept telling me to go back to Utah where my whole career as a DJ/Producer started. So I moved back to Utah and quite frankly have just been growing my brands as a whole. Which feels AMAZING.

Q3: Where does your love for bass come from? Walk us through yesteryear and what lead to these moments?

A3: I just have always liked loud bass ever since I was 10 when Skrillex came out with First of the Year /Equinox. I just remember scrolling on YouTube at the age of 10 and I remember seeing Skrillex’s music video for it on top charts. So being the curious cat I am I checked it out. I from the first second of the song loved bass music.

Q4: Where is your dream venue and or festival to play by 2025?

A4: Lost Lands!

Q5: Walk us through the creative process behind your craft, your most recent tracks!

A5: So my most recent track is called “Left to Right”. It’s a little out of my ordinary genre that I make of EDM. This time I decided to make hybrid-trap. Which in my opinion is going to be the next genre to take over the scene. But anyway my creative process is my number one thing I do before I start producing is I meditate. I can tell you wholeheartedly that meditating before producing opens your mind to so many different ideas and thoughts.

Q6: Who is in your collab scope? Who can we expect/anticipate to see whipping up a track with you?

A6: So far I have mainly worked by myself. The only person I have worked on tracks with a lot is SKREENHIT. But I am looking for more artists to collaborate with in the future so… all I can say for now is just wait.

Q7: Are you an advocate for food/drink before a show? Or does it mess with you?

A7: All I can say to this question is WATER, WATER, and WATER. You don’t want to be dehydrated during a set. Trust me it’s no fun running out of energy fast during a 1 hour set. So all I am going to even suggest for other artists and or people going to the shows just DRINK WATER

Q8: Who do you see killing it these days? Give them a shout-out!

A8: I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Alex Hines AKA On.Point. I see your worth bro. You have a HUGE impact on the scene and I can tell that. Keep grinding hard and I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for the future.
