Jeremy Fiedler, best known as Wermzer kicks off 2025 with a bang, delivering a high-energy VIP (variation in production) of his 2024 breakout single, “Don’t Start.”

Wermzer, a steadily-moving dance music producer from the south-eastern bit of the United States (Mobile, Alabama), has been making his mark in the industry over the past few years with menacing releases, prolific performances, and an evident presence on social media – is hyped on the release of his newest installation into his episodic amalgamation of ‘Wermzer Madness‘ with the VIP of ‘Don’t Start’, out on Jan 16th.

This reimagined version showcases his prowess in electronic trap music, blending hard-hitting basslines, intricate drum patterns, and electrifying drops. Fans of the original will be thrilled by the elevated intensity and fresh creative elements Wermzer has injected into this VIP, making it a standout track for bass enthusiasts and DJs alike.

As his first release of the year, the “Don’t Start” VIP sets the tone for Wermzer’s artistic vision in 2025. The track is crafted to dominate festival stages and underground scenes, combining cinematic tension with a relentless energy that demands attention.

This VIP is a testament to Wermzer’s ability to evolve his sound while staying true to the core elements that made the original a fan favorite. Early feedback from listeners and fellow producers has been overwhelmingly positive, sparking anticipation for what else Wermzer has planned this year.

Fans and returning readers/listeners may recognize this rising talent from his previous Monsoon Season releases such as Teeth Marks from our Hypercane compilation album, or his trap-laden release from 2023 titled ‘Devils Contract‘ – each of which being standout tracks that showcase Wermzer‘s style and prowess, be sure to check them out on our platform.

Wermzer tells us:

“My new Don’t Start (VIP) is the more aggressive, assertive version of the original tune released in late 2024. Perfect for any high-energy electronic playlist, it’s got enough spark and swagger to fit perfectly with any collection of revolutionary or catastrophic disclosure-themed tracks. I wanted the VIP to act as a follow-up that gave the listener the feeling of standing up for themselves and proving the haters wrong.”

Let’s chat with Wermzer:

Q1. 2024 is behind us and a new year begins – what were some highlight moments of this past year?

Wermzer: 2024 was dope! I played in some new cities and got to play more festivals than years in the past. I felt like I dropped some of my best music to date also, which set me up for what I’m hoping is gonna be an even bigger year this year.

Q2. What are some goals and milestones you’d like to achieve in 2025?

Wermzer: I want to play even more new cities and festivals this year. A long-term goal of mine is to work with artists who I look up to and who inspire my music, so if I can figure out how to make that happen, that would be really exciting too.

Q3. What can we look forward to in 2025 that may surprise fans and listeners from Wermzer?

Wermzer: More lyrical stuff from me and maybe something a lot of fans aren’t expecting. I’ve dropped a few tracks in the past with my own vocals, and I really enjoy making those. I can promise some new music in that style in 2025.

Q4. Where can we expect to see Wermzer next? Let us know your next events and performances!

Wermzer: This year started off with me in New Orleans, and I’ll be in Atlanta playing support for Boombox Cartel on January 18th. (SUPER excited about that). As of now, I don’t have anything locked in, but I’m hoping to be able to announce some more exciting events soon.

Fans can stream the “Don’t Start” VIP now on all major platforms and catch it on curated trap and bass playlists. This bold release positions Wermzer as an increasing force to be reckoned with in the electronic music scene for 2025.
