[Alabama-based] electronic trap act of tomorrow, Wermzer bites down with deafening bass showcasing his new track ‘Teeth Marks’ – out now!

If you head on over to our SoundCloud, you’ll find a myriad of new guest mixes on the Hypercane playlist, but this Wermzer installation will have your elbows up rocking a bass face, with teeth showing.

No stranger to our storm system, Jeremy Fiedler (or best known) as Wermzer debuted on our label in October of 2023 with his groundbreaking song Devils Contract, and since then, we just can’t get enough of his trap-laden soundscapes.

Fast forward the clocks to today, the summer of 2024, and we are lock-jawed once more via Teeth Marks, his newest sensation in sound.

Found in our latest compilation album, Hypercane – a twelve-track volume of today’s artists deploying the sounds of tomorrow alongside rising household names such as Up There, Gary Groundscore, DEADSONIC, and more – you will undeniably find something that will get you up and moving to the nearest dance floor.

Wermzer

Q1. Welcome back to our violently torrential storm, the HYPERCANE – can you tell us about yourself and your new release ‘Teeth Marks’’?

Wermzer: Yo! My name’s Jeremy, but my friends call me Wermzer. I’m a DJ, music producer, and the dopest geek you’ll ever meet. My new track ‘Teeth Marks’ is an aggressive hybrid trap track that reminds everyone that your haters are your biggest fans.

Q2. What all went into the creative process and development of ‘Teeth Marks’? Walk us into that brainstorm of yours!

Wermzer: To be honest, this track sounds like I’m entering a villain era with my music, but I think it acts more as a statement to say “I’m gonna keep my own style and let the people who used to mock me for it turn into fans.”

A “biter” is someone who copies you or your work, so “Teeth Marks” is a play on that idea. “Hater’s bitin hard. Got these fresh teeth marks on me” .

Q3. Tell us about your guest mix! From the curation of tracks to the style of soundscapes, what should we expect?

Wermzer: Like most of my mixes, I like to mix a lot of hip-hop with electronic music to create something that’s fun as well as exciting enough to help you release all of your energy. You can shake your booty to it, aggressively head nod and bop around the room, and most certainly wake up all your neighbors while you’re listening.

Q4. What’s next for you, Wermzer? Let your fans know what is coming after this storm.

Wermzer: I’m looking forward to releasing more music later this year. Some really fun and kind of different-sounding stuff that I’m excited for everyone to hear. I just got home from my first festival performance of the year (Sol Fest) and I can’t wait to announce some more festivals and shows coming very soon. Don’t sleep!
