Dakota Luscombe is a Boise, Idaho-based bass/dubstep/riddim music producer under the music moniker of HippieFlipped. His newest development, “Freakz” is a surefire shakedown of sound that will have you on your feet in no time.
From its colossal doses of bass intricately woven throughout its duration to the contrast between dubstep, upbeat sections, and aggressive tearout styles, this bass-laden banger is peppered with stimulating soundscapes.
We can appreciate HippieFlipped‘s attention to detail in “Freakz“. Not only do the [pre-drop] vocal samples all maintain the same idea and flow but the song’s structure and sound design is crisp and relative to other releases of his (i.e. “FOREVER“, ILL SHIT“, “Paranoia“).
This type of consistency in songwriting is few and far between nowadays, but we find it front-and-center with HippieFlipped’s “Freakz“. You will surely feel like a berserk freak after hearing this new heater. We warned you!

My inspiration for Freakz was my idea of a Space Laces intro/energy but with a tearout twist. I wanted to make it kind of jarring while still keeping it bouncy so that second drop idea came in. As far as creative process goes, it was all just kind of random, as a lot of my music seems to come together.
