L: AGGRO R: Mile32

Luckily for you, as the number one (#1) Riddim record label in the world, it was only fitting to bring the masterminds and industrious teams at Riddim Network, Black Sheep Presents, Riddim University, and Hastati Music Network in for one helluva takeover at The Black Box.

They’ll be presenting the riotous sounds of AGGRO back-to-back Mile32, IN ORBIT DUBZ, and SHASHOU back-to-back DEADWOOD, along with local support from CRUCIBLE, and NOVAKN.

The takeover is anticipated to bring an evening jam-packed with hedonistic headbangs, hellacious headaches, and plenty of those “HA-HU-HE-HE” and “Gotcha Bitch” pre-drop vocal samples that we all know and love.

The Riddim Network Takeover on Jan, 11th at The Black Box goes from:
9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Although knowing Denver and all of its party-going and riddim-loving residents, we might see an after-hours event pop up. Surely to keep the riddim going into the wee hours of the following morning.

If it happens, it happens, says Brooky, owner of Black Sheep Presents.

Don’t forget to bring those high knee dance moves, bass faces, and the utmost ratchet riddim behavior with you on Jan 11th at The Black Box in Denver, Colorado.

Before you go – check out our exclusive interviews with the owners of Riddim Network and Black Sheep Presents.

Joseph Hicks, the founder of the Riddim Network
chats with us about the event.

Joseph: Fans are in for an authentic riddim show, uniting incredible artists, teams, and brands in the heart of Denver’s vibrant bass culture at the legendary Black Box! I will also be joining in person for our first-ever meet-and-greet and might even end up surprising some lucky fans with a few special giveaways. Don’t miss out!

Joseph: It’s not just a city; it’s the perfect launchpad for Riddim Network Takeovers! Denver passionately supports bass music, especially riddim! It’s undeniably the –
BASS CAPITAL!
The city’s abundant talent and scene prove this is the heartbeat of the American bass music industry. I could not be more excited to launch in this city.
Denver! We have exciting plans ahead, and while I can’t spill all the details now, rest assured it’s a groundbreaking move for the riddim scene. Denver’s energy and enthusiasm make it the perfect canvas for the launch of this new venture!

Joseph: We have a lot planned in 2024, especially for Denver! Currently, Colorado native “Swando” is the only artist under our lineup, and the response to signing Mason has been overwhelmingly positive. Expect an expanded lineup with more talented artists, shaping the label’s identity and propelling their careers.

Joseph: Riddim Network is thriving, and after focusing on the label’s digital growth over the last 9 years 2024 is set to be the year we expand into unforgettable live shows, sign more artists, and meet more fans.

We chatted with Brooky,
Founder of Black Sheep Presents
about the takeover.

Brooky: The attendees and fans can expect everything they look forward to in a show and then some. Being that we’re a new team in Denver, I feel like we have some things to prove to the Denver market, not only as promoters but the type of people we are.
We are here for the EDM community just like we have been for New Mexico and Texas. This time we see Denver as a whole different animal. They’ve been established so now we have more to prove to be a role model here for artists, show attendees, and other promoters alike.

Brooky: We’re still in shock (laughs). Honestly having the opportunity to work with Joseph on this takeover has already made waves on an international level, so at this point we are just focused on giving the people the best show we possibly can.
With all the other collaborators on here from Corson Agency to Riddim University to Hastati Network to Seaview Talent, this show is gonna be stacked with leaders of the industry on top of the beautiful people of Denver.
For Black Sheep, we are entering a new chapter of growth and I’m just happy for the opportunity but yes, still very mind-blown. Life feels very surreal currently.

Brooky: Not only can Denver expect more shows, but they can expect more takeovers at venues they wouldn’t believe. I’ll just let our hard work do the talking.
2024 is going to be a hungry year for the Black Sheep.
As previously stated we have a lot of ground to cover and a lot to prove coming from a different market but I can promise y’all this – we’re just getting started and the experiences that are coming are going to go down in history with every event we throw.
If anybody wants to be part of this venture, we are open to collaborations and new promoters to be part of Denver’s new family.
