When a song hits you in the feels, it does more to the soul than what may be apparent on a superficial level. The captivation and ethereal effect is a love letter to the soul and mind in a sonic format.

Los Angeles-based, students of ICON Collective and rising talents LANTIK team up with AHAYMAN and vocal powerhouse Trent Monroe on their latest melodic bass creation titled ‘Dream‘, providing listeners with a magical experience that captures the emotional tides of love and the delicate art of navigating relationships.

In this uplifting voyage, we sail the highs and lows of human error in search of connection, navigating through the intricate tapestry of emotions that bind us together.

The waves of joy and sorrow impact us, reminding us of our shared vulnerability, while the vast, unpredictable open waters of love challenge us to embrace the unknown.

As we delve into their journey, we encounter not only the beauty of fleeting moments but also the inevitable implications of love’s unpredictable currents, which can either guide us toward deeper understanding or sweep us into unforeseen turmoil.

Through it all, we learn that every misstep can lead to a profound revelation, urging us to foster resilience and compassion in our quest for meaningful relationships; while this unifying track from LANTIK, AHAYMAN, and Trent Monroe‘s collective contribution personifies that poetic and dance-worthy energy.

From the start, the song carries a graceful tempo and a fierce feel for fervency in the notes, powerful soundscapes, and intense lyrics that Trent Monroe delivers full-handedly.

As the track approaches the one-minute mark, the lyrics take on a renewed dynamic force, shifting and swelling with intention, moving like a gentle lullaby that rises into a tidal wave of wanderlust.

What follows is a masterfully curated melodic drop, pairing with a snarling bass-laden growl that garners a future bass-leaning aftershock that balances raw intensity and graceful restraint. The emotional weight hits hard like a depth charge, giving listeners a vivid glimpse into the feelings the three artists have poured into ‘Dream‘.

Trent Monroe delivers the chorus with striking vulnerability:

“This dream is like a midnight sky without no stars to see. I believe that the person you are is like life with no air to breathe.”

Throughout the track’s impressive 3:44 runtime, we plunge deep into the saturative storytelling and emotive soundscapes that make up for its aqueous aura.

Dream‘ is out now on all major streaming platforms! Be sure to follow them on social media to stay afloat with their journey, their profound sound, and all things new from LANTIK, AHAYMAN, and Trent Monroe.

LANTIK tells us:
“This song all began one day I walked into a barber shop in Burbank. I was looking for my friend’s recommended barber. She wasn’t there that day so they had me go to Trent. After getting to know each during the cut, we learned we both make music and Trent played me some of his stuff and I was completely blown away. After coming back to him many more times, we developed a really great relationship and we kept showing each other new music we’d been working on. We finally agreed we needed to work on a project together and Trent called his friend Alec and we met at his place and began working on the track. We agreed we wanted to write an emotional, but powerful melodic bass track dealing with the emotions of struggle and heartbreak from being in a toxic relationship. Trent immediately got in the recording booth and killed the execution of his songwriting and vocal delivery. Once production was finished, we sat on it for a couple years while we all had a lot of life things going on. Finally this year, the moment finally came into fruition and we got it out. So honored to be a part of this record and grateful for these guys who helped bring it all together! Sometimes the universe will bring people together who are meant to give something special to the world! Glad my friend’s barber wasn’t available that day, or this track may have never come to life.”

AHAYMAN follows up with:
“This tune really came about as a result of Trent hitting me up and saying he met someone he wanted to get into a session with me & him over at my studio. Trent & I have known each other for a while and work together frequently in the mainstream world on projects for sync/other artists/etc as well as Trent’s project. Logan & I attended the same music school (Icon Collective), but I graduated several years prior so had not met him before the session. Going into it I had no real expectations outside of meeting Logan and vibing out. I think the first session was mainly getting the topline and verse/hook structure for Trent to write around, and it went really well, very organic. We bounced something for Trent to go hop into the booth over in the other studio at the house and track while Logan & I took the idea and flushed out some sound design stuff/noodled around on my hardware synths, and by the end of the day we had a solid idea down to flush out further. It was all just a very fun, very organic experience.”

Trent Monroe adds in:
“This song came from a really raw place for me. I was writing about being stuck in a relationship where the love is deep, but the pain is even deeper—where caring about someone starts to feel like you’re suffocating in the dark. What makes this track special is how organically it came together. Logan and I actually met at my barbershop and realized we were both making music, and that connection eventually led us to link up at our friend Alec’s house. I stepped into the booth there and just let everything I was feeling pour out—writing, recording, and shaping the vocals in the moment. It didn’t feel forced; it felt honest, and that honesty is really the heartbeat of this record.”
