The latest release from West Cove Recordings is a powerhouse collaboration between rising Canadian dubstep innovators KVROT and HVNTY. Their new release, Future, has just dropped and it’s piquing ears for its heavy, cutting-edge sound design and a jaw-dropping bonus remix that shifts the energy into a completely different gear.

Fresh off the heels of their latest collaborative effort, ‘Run‘, these two are back in action together, shaping the 2025 year in an advantageous position, reminding the masses once more why this combo of talent isn’t a one-and-done type deal.

We want more KVROT + HVNTY and this dynamic duo of tunes is going to quench that insatiable thirst for more from these two.

Future kicks off with a spine-tingling atmospheric build-up, teasing listeners with eerie synth stabs and subtle percussion.

When the drop hits, it’s an absolute face-melter: snarling mid-bass growls, meticulously programmed sub-hits, and punchy snares create a gritty yet clean sonic landscape that feels tailor-made for massive festival systems.

The sound design is top-tier, with intricate layers that reveal new textures on every listen – perfect for bass enthusiasts craving technical mastery.

KVROT tells us:

“This project was something I had started the initial idea on but was stuck at a crossroads of what to do with it, that’s when HVNTY came in and busted out the heaviest drop I’d heard in a minute complete with the addition of some nice touch-ups on the tune itself. Overall the experience of writing with HVNTY has always been a smooth process, very easy to work with, and is always down to add any ideas he thinks are absolutely mental. The idea behind the tune was that we would take both of our styles and smash it together creating something new that goes against the grain a bit. We feel as if we had achieved that with this tune and hopefully we’ll sit down to write some more in the future!”

Complementing the original, West Cove Recordings has included an upbeat drum and bass remix from duo group Glowing Embers that catapults the track into high-octane territory. This reimagining swaps out the halftime swagger of the dubstep drop for a frenetic DnB rhythm, complete with crisp hi-hats, rolling snares, and a dynamic low-end groove. Glowing Embers‘ remix retains the menacing energy of the original but injects it with a relentless pace, making it an essential weapon for DJs looking to keep dancefloors buzzing.

KVROT and HVNTY’s Future and its remix counterpart offer versatility for any set – whether you’re curating a heavy dubstep journey or transitioning into high-energy drum and bass.

KVROT and HVNTY adds in:

“When we went shopping around for a label we really wanted one that hit close to home, we decided on West Cove Recordings as our go-to because of their foothold in Alberta as a label that releases quality. The owners of the label (Glowing Embers) thought we had something unique and busted out a mental DNB remix that everyone should check out, we highly recommend sending music to them as they’re branching out more looking for local talent!”

Don’t sleep on this release; grab it now and level up your playlists with ‘Future‘.
