As we near closer to the annual New Year‘s massive event held in Denver, Colorado at The Colorado Convention Center this December 30th & 31st known nonother than Decadence NYE, we get a little giddy inside!
Colorado-based rising music producer known as Seconds;-;Away wastes no time each year showing his excitement and passion for the event by delivering a megamix each year for the event that includes most (if not all) of the headlining acts in one snug, warm, and alluring mix. This year is no different!
This year’s lineup includes and is no where near limited to the household names like Kaskade, Flume, Zomboy, Tiesto, GRiZ, Porter Robinson, and a helluva lot more. From blending the softer melodies into the heavier drops, and vice versa the mix holds it down as a gem to reference back the brilliance of The Digital City we all call Decadence.
Seconds;-;Away has done this same number for Colorado‘s premiere summer event known as Global Dance Festival which also held a stacked multitude of international talent. So, be sure to check out his mixes, remixes, and bodies of work from his live sets!

Q1: Let’s introduce you to our greater audience and storm front. Who is Seconds;-;Away?
A1: Seconds;-;Away is a project I started in college. From playing local EDM nights in Laramie, Wyoming, to moving to Denver and playing a new variety of shows here. It’s a project that shows mashups of various genres and looks to explore the blending of different vocals that keep people singing with songs they never imagined to complement them throughout electronic music.
Q2: What are your main musical inspirations that led to where you are today?
A2: a common theme you’ll get from me is the inspiration of Porter Robinson. Every genre he’s crossed and grown into is next level. His live shows are both genre-bending and just all-around creative in every sense of the show. Other artists like Flume did the same thing for me in terms of “how the hell do these songs construct music” just top-level creativity from production to live shows.
Q3: Your Decadence NYE Megamix is expansive, highly detailed, and jam-packed with heat from the lineup. Where did this annual tradition come from and how has it changed over the years?
A3: It really started from making playlists for shows I was going to attend. Once I started getting into mixing I said, why not just use these playlists to make a little hype mix for festivals. I can learn how these DAWs work while also curating a playlist in a different way. It really started as a thing for me to enjoy and I decided to share them as I think playlists can get stagnant for a lot of people to an extent, and that live feeling adds to the hype of the show you’re about to attend!
Q4: Who are you most stoked for at this year’s Decadence NYE Colorado lineup?
A4: This is damn near my dream lineup. Porter, Flume, and Tiesto are 3 of my favorite live acts for very different reasons. But having the opportunity to see all 3 of these guys on the same show is incredible.
Q5: What is next for you in 2023? We are talking New Year‘s after all!
A5: 2023 will hopefully bring more creativity on the music production front, and get to make the step to play more venues through Denver. The pandemic truly put a halt to a lot of my want to move forward with music and creativity as a whole. As the year has gone I’ve gotten back into the flow of things and inspiration has flowed again. This last year I released a remix of MPort’s – Vibration Gun, and 2023 looks to piggyback on those projects and get some more of my sound out.
