Tattered Humanity Tears It Up With His New Single Titled ‘I Am Hollow’ Via Riot Sound Records

Tattered Humanity has been rapidly releasing his backstock of music in the last few months, with releases like “Just Behind You” and “Whatever I Have Left (Vol.2)” and now we are given “I Am Hollow”, a laid-back track that is best listened to on a high-end pair of headphones. The track is a simple yet stellar track that encompasses both Tattered Humanity‘s sound design, but also the cleanness his mixdowns bring in the process.

The simple kick-snare pattern is enough to carry you through the journey, as an incredible Mid ranged perc synth plays a rhythm that sets the entire vibe and atmosphere of the track. The 80’s style synth lead comes in and sets the tone for your head to bob to as you blare this track down the street. The best way I can explain the environment of this track is, that it’s Stranger Things meet Burial‘s iconic and monumental “Untrue” album.

The lo-fi vocal chants blaring in the back as the journey unravels add a nice flavor of ambiance and ominous tones, creating an eerie feel of where in the universe this track is taking place. At first, you thought you were in a happy place, but are suddenly surrounded by questions as you try to make out what message is being presented before you.

In good practice, Tattered humanity has become an expert at making sure his tracks don’t overstay their welcome. By that, I mean that the track does have repetitive loops, but it’s structured and composed so well that it never becomes “too much” or “too repetitive”.

As we come to a close on the single, we slowly fade off of each instrument, creating a seamless close. All in all, “I Am Hollow” showcases Tattered Humanity’s high-end production skills at their best, and I am eager to see what adventure he takes us on in his head of wonders. You are always guaranteed a well-thought-out theme and direction from his tracks, and this one does not disappoint.
