Brainsick Records. They Say Sick Minds Think Alike.

In times of economic downturns, recessions, and chaos; there are people still putting in the work. For example, Jack and Gage. These two are the heads and minds behind the Brainsick Records phenomenon. Featuring and spotlighting international artists is their forte, crazy right?
Well, “Brainsick” must be a fitting name.
Please welcome Brainsick Records to the storm!

Question 1: Where does your origin story begin in regards to the record company?

Answer 1: So I’ve always had a passion for music business and have been surrounded in some sort of music scene since 2013. I really got into EDM in about 2016 and really engulfed myself in that scene and embraced it. I did a little bit of DJing and Producing but felt like there was something else for me in the scene apart from actually making music, so I started Brainsick. I wanted to create a label for artists by artists to give a more personable approach and show that we’re here for you guys not ourselves. We’re just here to be the vessel that pushes you to the next level.

Question 2: Why did you choose the provocative name Brainsick derive from?

Answer 2: Me and my old partner with Brainsick we’re actually just brainstorming ideas for the name of the label one day and he brought up Brainsick Records and just knew immediately that that was it. For the styles of music that we release it just made the most sense out of the names on the table, we wanted to put out brain melting tracks and have a name that backs that in a sense.

Question 3: What sort of advice can you give to up and coming artists looking to get signed to a label such as yourselves?

Answer 3: Never stop grinding. As cliche as that sounds it’s true, if you stop putting the work in there’s no way you can advance. Another thing is take the advice that labels are giving you as far as feedback and marketing, it’s not to put you down it’s so that you can reach your full potential.

Question 4: What is your favorite part about being interconnected in the music industry?

Answer 4: My favorite part is honestly just being able to make connections with people from around the world! Since starting Brainsick, I’ve been able to meet and work with people from all over the world: Australia, Hungary, Ecuador, Netherlands, etc. Just being able to make those connections and spread our love of music globally is amazing to me.

Question 5: Thus far, what has been the label’s highlight moment?

Answer 5: It’s so hard to say since we’ve only been a label for less than a year but probably being able to have Motar release with us. It’s been one of the best responses we’ve had since we’ve been a label and I think has been a real turning point for us.

Question 6: What we can expect next from the Brainsick Records family?

Answer 6: We have a lot of big stuff coming up here for the end of 2020 actually! Coming up this month we have our compilation EP with Iteration Audio dropping on September 25th. We also have releases from Kinetic, Dizzy III, Okreglucky, Margwa, and a bunch of other amazing producers. We also have our 1K EP in the works right now!

Question 7: If you guys could work with any artist in the world and brainstorm with, who is it and why?

Answer 7:  It’d probably have to be Kevin Hart honestly. Completely unrelated to music I know but, from a business standpoint I know the knowledge that Kevin has just from listening to him over the years would be monumental to furthering myself not only through my business but my everyday life.

Question 8: Who do you see killing it these days? Give them a shout-out!

Answer 8: Oh man so many different people killing it right now! Shout-out Dub Wubz Promotions for being the dopest dudes on the planet and putting out the most fire tracks! Shout-out Alec Reach aka Anodic aka owner of Void Audio for always supporting Brainsick and having my back. Shout-out to all my amazing producers on the label Mxdelo, Motar, Anodic, Sasori, HooDoo, Skrkro, LiTCH, Skitzoid, Bando, and so many more. And of course! Shout-out to my label mate and best friend Gage! Without you G, Brainsick would not be what it is today!
