▼ SVNXX’s ‘AMITY‘ delivers wonky and rowdy basslines for the masses.
Rising bass music producer SVNXX (pronounced seven twenty) has been on the warpath with releases in 2024, and we here at Monsoon Season have covered them previously and here we are with a recent release titled “AMITY”, which features some super wonky-styled basses, so sit in and brace yourself.
Amity opens with a haunting vocal pad with a perc loop to set the vibe of whats to come. Quickly, we are sent into the main section of the track where SVNXX displays a grimey low end bass that slams into your speakers as the patterns force you to bob your head back and forth to the rhythm.
As the section continues, you find yourself aggressively vibing with the chill sounds that are created meanwhile the sub bass vibrates everything around you without overstaying its welcome.
As we transcend into the second half of this section, we get a nice tease of ear candy when the drums are swifty removed from the mix, letting that low end rumble as you anticipate what’s about to happen next.
This section has a lot more energy and aggression than the first, but it still keeps the same vibe from before. The main bass is the same but now we get these sick riddim styled patterns with supporting basses that instantly add energy and flow that completely separate this section from the first, and in a good way.
Soon after, my favorite part of the entire track comes in, and that is strangely a section where it is almost silent, but you know you’re not alone. A vocal sample that has some sort of effect on it adds a very eerie vibe but also showcases the uniqueness SVNXX brings to their tracks not only in structure, but sound design as well. This section rings out for a moment, than ends on a high note when the first part of the drop comes in again, completely taking you by surprise one last time.
