Oscar Romero is NVRT, (pronounced invert) a Mexico-based music producer who may be young (only 18 y.o.) but packs one helluva mean punch behind his productions.

The rising name does a number on the bass music masses with “Fare” (out Dec 5th), his wickedly thrilling dubstep self-released single that personifies the ostentatious and cinematic wave of music that’s taking the bass scene by storm.

Fare” is a full serving of bass and captivating soundscapes that illuminate the multi-textured and technical prowess he effortlessly displays.

FARE” (Danger in Norwegian) it’s a high energy dubstep song with aggressive sounds in which I wanted to find a combination between melodic, ambient stuff and angry, raw basses. It may be the classic dubstep track with quarter notes and sustain basses, but the sound design makes it unique and engaging, it’ll make you want to listen to it for hours, this is the perfect choice for music festivals, gaming, working out, etc.

From start to finish, the 3:56 duration of the single has so many points of breathtaking “awe-shit” and hair-raising “WTF” moments, that hitting the replay button becomes almost a necessity to fully grasp what you had just heard in “Fare“.

NVRT is no stranger to bringing brutal doses of bass to eardrums around the world. His latest installations such as “Dystopia” (out on Subsidia Recs’ Lost Lands 2022 compilation album), plus his collaborative effort with RAZR titled “Ashes” (out on Subsidia Recs’ Night Vol. 7) all are surefire proofs of concept.

▼ With NVRT’s bass-laden releases on Subsidia Records, Rude Service, Exodus Collective, Hybrid Trap, RIIA DIEMOS, and Final Boss Records – it’s safe to say the newest addition to his ever-growing discography titled “Fare” will only bid farewell to another wildly successful year of his electrifying emergence into the bass music industry.
This year alone (2023), he has accumulated hundreds of thousands of online music streams (via Spotify and SoundCloud stats), proving that he has found his sound and his time is now.
