2DY4, Nembus, Hydrosonix, and Future Black shake the ground with the new High Caliber Records, BLAQOUT, and Megahurtz‘s “Blight Stomper” Remix EP

In September of 2021, (two years ago) HCR released BLAQOUT and MEGAHURTZ‘s ultra-menacing dubstep collab “Blight Stomper” on their burgeoning record label to the music-consuming masses. and the response since then has been massive.

L: BLAQOUT ||| R: MEGAHURTZ

Fast forward those clocks to 2023 and that rambunctious release now has tens of thousands of streams online, digital downloads, and broken unsuspecting necks.

The original gets us riled up when we blare it here at the Monsoon Season Headquarters but these remixes… HOLY SHIT!

What it also did was motivate a multitude of music producers from around the world to want to remix the track.

The Blight Stomper Remix EP showcases the signature sounds of rising artists 2DY4, Nembus, Hydrosonix, and Future Black.

▼ 2DY4

pictured: 2DY4

[San Fransisco, CA-based] 2DY4 (pronounced “To Die For”) takes the stompy original to new heights with her heavy dubstep rendition of “Blight Stomper“. From every corner of her new remix, you feel the punch and recoil in every hit of the bass’s sheer intensity. Brace for impact, this 2:32 may be brief but it’s brutal!

▼ Nembus

pictured: Nembus

[Birmingham, AL-based] Nembus wasted no time in his remix’s 3:20 runtime providing listeners with an elaborately created and well-made remake of “Blight Stomper“. Each facet of his reimagination is accentuated with top-tier sound usage, cinematic basslines, and scattered technical bits that keep you pulled in.

Take another listen for the best results. Stomp on that replay button for even better results!

▼ Hydrosonix

[Kansas City, MO-based] Hydrosonix delivers a wildly fun and feral take on “Blight Stomper” with his remix. This variant’s duration of 3:41 is jam-packed with gritty drops, a frenzy of bass, and laced with plenty of auditory reasons to break your neck from headbanging too hard. Keep your ears piqued, this remix will result in heavy breathing and untamed behavior.

▼ Future Black

[Pittsburgh, PA-based] Future Black does a number on the masses with his variation of “Blight Stomper“. Easily the most refreshingly creative take on the bass-laden original. This remix captivates listeners with its futuristic soundscapes and colorful basslines. From the get-go, Future Black utilizes every second of his inventive remix’s 2:46 runtime to transport all who hear it into the musical mind of Future Black.

We 10/10 recommend this Remix EP to fans of dubstep, future bass, tearout, and color bass music. We also suggest following each artist on social media to stay updated on their new music, merch, events, and announcements. Show your support by streaming their music today!

Honorable Remix Mentions:

When we had written “a multitude of remixes” – in the second paragraph, we meant that – it’s not a typo or exaggeration. Outside of the official remix EP, we found and listened to seven other remixes of “Blight Stomper” on SoundCloud that are honorably worth mentioning.

Listen to: CURATOR, Yuxie, SHREDEAD, ASMO, UNDRWRLD, Interstrain, and HDDNRNB

Kudos to you for remixing this tune and giving us seven more vicious variations to the “Blight Stomper” release from High Caliber Records.
