BASS DREAMS VOL. 5

Emengy, is a Vancouver-based electronic dance music record label that was first established in 2013 by the founder Vince Mulville, and Dan Bartake (Flatland Funk) who serves as the label’s current A&R and on their esteemed Board of Directors.

Since day one, we have always viewed Emengy as a highly sophisticated record label that pays the utmost attention to detail in its curation process via its compilation albums, EPs, mixes, podcasts, and even down to the cover art selection, remix contests, and events they help throw in Vancouver.

Every facet of this record label is airtight. A true standout brand in our modern era of electronic dance music. Along with Emengy‘s affinity for bass music, they also run their sub-label, Emengy Deep – which is more geared toward upbeat dance, trance, and melodic styles/genres.

Now that the BASS DREAMS Vol. 5 compilation album is out (Nov 24th), we aim to give you the details and help you dream your wildest dreams (of bass, that is).

Within the album, we are pleased to see plenty of bass music producers ranging from dubstep, trap, riddim, melodic bass, and tearout.

We see several artists we are familiar with here at the Monsoon Season HQ and many fresh names to our storm who appear on this album. From Axilon to BOSS MODE, TYPHON to STVNK FVCE, and Doc Glock to Gaby Bau, every entry and installation in this 30-track album shines luminously and neck-breaking bass is the center focus.

Also, it’s very refreshing to see a multitude of rising vocalists like GRISLY and BVLVNCE, singers such as Raddix, features from rappers like MagMag and Frankie Sinn, and the authoritative drillstep sound we all love from BLUPILL.

Check out this year’s stacked compilation with 54 rising names in dance music, with 30 tracks showcasing why Emengy is at the forefront of releasing today’s music of tomorrow’s headliners.
