♬ HOUSE MUSIC: Electronic Dance Icon Manila Killa & Tuna Melt Take South Korean DJ + Producer – Peggy Gou‘s Provocative Radio Hit “It Goes Like” Adding Their Salacious Sound To The ‘Nananasty’ Beat
☀ EDM Weather Reporter: Garth Jones
If you are familiar with international DJs (outside the atypical American music festival circuit), you may have heard of Peggy Gou, a Berlin, Germany-based South Korean DJ and recording artist.
Her meteoric rise to fame can be traced back to her insanely catchy, provocative, and buzzing sound design and discography. Her lead single from her forthcoming 2023 album via XL Recordings, “It Goes Like (Nanana)” has caught the attention of the world with millions of streams since its release.
Philippine-raised Manila Killa (formerly 1/2 of Hotel Garuda and owner of Moving Castle Records) and rising LA-based Tuna Melt give their two cents on the matter by amping the energy tenfold and giving it a vivacious new sound via their self-released remix found on SoundCloud. A true treat to those all-nighter party heathens and nightclub attendees looking for a beat to boogie to.
These two bring their A-game with this remix. Not only do they elevate the original’s core elements but they keep the energy and upbeat atmosphere at center focus. As the original is very reminiscent of a 90’s club night, both Manila Killa and Tuna Melt bring it into today’s creative perimeters, adding a brilliant tech house shine to the track. Exceptional work, folks!
Keep an eye out for more Manila Killa and Tuna Melt music coming to your ears soon. We hear they have a lot more planned for the rest of 2023.
