Colorado‘s Anthony Butler, best known under his music moniker as Chocolate Drop is a resident DJ and lineup curator for the BASSment at The Church Nightclub, Klutch Beat Boutique member, and a respected industry member with over a decade of experience in the behind-the-scenes of Denver‘s meteorically rising electronic dance music scene and community.

Although in more recent months, he has been burgeoning himself into the producer’s frontline realm by creating original music (outside of his DJing career) being the reason we are here today… brand new music, that is!

His sophomore original ‘No Mercy‘, exclusively on The Bass Space is hot off the press and we are thrilled to get to help share the news and give our thoughts on this milestone of a moment for Chocolate Drop.

Chocolate Drop draws listeners in with an ominous and long-lasting intro laced with a grandfather clock dinging in the background and faint elements of suspense. Then, without notice our first build-up takes shape, and the sinister pre-drop vocal sample ‘No Mercy’ plays out followed by a nasty riddim drop that will leave you with a serious case of “bass face” (if you know – you know).

By the track’s halfway mark, our necks have fully embraced the merciless and menacing true nature of the track and each drop is proof of that statement. With each bassline, soundscape, and drum kick; you feel its intensity, and we love it.

Nearing its end, ‘No Mercy‘ has left an impression on listeners and we are closing in on the grand finale. Now we know the true capacity that Chocolate Drop will be bringing from here on out. It should go without saying – we are here for it.

Fresh off the heels of his well-received remix of Riddim Network‘s Out Of The Car by Swando, and his original release of ‘Neck Brace’ on Bass Capital Records from 2022, Chocolate Drop is going to level the playing field with this new release on The Bass Space ever-so-perfectly named No Mercy.

Fans of that bass-forward, neck-breaking, headbanging riddim/dubstep goodness – ‘No Mercy’ is the track for you! Be sure to give the newly released track a listen, like, repost, and playlist it in your heaviest crates and sets for those high-demand moments.

What more can we expect from Chocolate Drop in the foreseeable future? From our weather forecast, it’s looking like much more original music, event announcements, and festival performances are on the horizon for the rest of 2023 – we’ll be close by to report on the booming coverage.

If we were you, we’d give him a follow/like on social media and music streaming platforms to be the first to know and stay up-to-date with everything Chocolate Drop. But that’s just us.
