Metal Band Asking Alexandria‘s Famous “A Prophecy” Gets A Wild & Wonky Bass Remix By Rising Electronic Producer – Scafetta
Storm Coverage By: Garth Jones
Worldwide-known British rock/metal band Asking Alexandria gets their megahit “A Prophecy” from the 2009 debut studio album Stand Up and Scream a hefty dubstep/wook bass remix by Buffalo, NY-based electronic bass music producer Scafetta.
Scafetta has outdone himself again with this remix. He honors the original tracks core point and focal pieces but then adds his signature sound design, personal flare, and mind-altering elements of wonky/wobbly sound usages.
From the vocal intro that’s laced with emotive piano work to the uplifting builds, ravenous screams, fakeouts, drops, and the wonky breakdowns that Scafetta layers so cohesively, this remix goes down as a personal favorite here in the storm.
Some say that today’s bassheads are yesterday’s metalheads. Meaning that folks who were fans of metal music in the late 2000’s to early 2010’s are now passionate bassheads today. So, with that theory in mind – it is refreshing to see tracks when we were younger getting a contemporary remix and can be seen it a different perspective.
The remix, which Scafetta has been showcasing in his mixes and sets, comes as a celebratory moment as he has surpassed 40,000 monthly Spotify listeners. He releases the remix as a thank you to all of his fans, listeners, and diehard day one-rs.
Most notably, Asking Alexandria has heard the remix and approves of its freeform and experimental approach. They have hinted and leaned towards bringing Scafetta on for a possible collab or feature. That story is still unfolding – so keep those eyes and ears peeled for that. Until then, bask in this wildly addictive remix from Scafetta, and follow him socials to stay up to date!
This remix is already #1 on Dance/EDM Top 40 via Repost Exchange and is available for free download! Go stream it today, exclusively on SoundCloud.
