▼ Mikes Revenge brings ‘Refuge‘ to the masses via their new 4-track EP on SubCarbon Records
[Atlanta, GA-based] Mikes Revenge has dropped a dynamic new EP titled “Refuge” on SubCarbon Records, featuring four electrifying tracks titled ‘Riddim’, ‘Vision’, ‘Appetite’, and ‘Back’ that blend dubstep and electronic soundscapes with precision and creativity.
This latest release showcases the duo’s knack for crafting immersive sounds and wildly intense drops.
Mikes Revenge tells us:
“Refuge encapsulates the sonic journey of finding solace amidst chaos, blending hybrid beats with immersive melodies to create a sanctuary of electronic bliss. The creative process was blending of different hybrid sounds inside Ableton to bring forth the variety that Mikes Revenge is known for.”
The Refuge EP kicks off with “Riddim,” a powerful opener that combines haunting melodies with gritty basslines. The track builds tension expertly, leading to a series of explosive drops that are sure to energize any dancefloor (or living room).
Next up is “Vision,” a slightly more melodic tune at first then packs a mean punch. Its intricate synth work and rhythmic complexity highlight Mikes Revenge‘s ability to merge instrumental elements with heavy, neck-breaking drops, creating a track that’s both danceable and hard-hitting.
“Appetite” follows, bringing an upbeat sound and brooding energy to the EP. The menacing basslines and eerie atmospheric effects create a sense of foreboding, making this track a standout for fans of the heavier side of dubstep.
The Refuge EP closes with “Back,” a high-energy track that perfectly balances aggression and euphoria. With its rapid-fire pre-drop vocals and anthemic synth lines, “Back” is the perfect conclusion to an EP that showcases Mikes Revenge‘s versatility and talent in the dynamic electronic music scene.
“Refuge” is out now on (Ganja White Night‘s) SubCarbon Records [est. 2009], promising a thrilling auditory experience for the headbanging and rail-breaking dubstep aficionados.
