Kansas City’s finest unite under one track for BLAQOUT’s “MENACE” – The rock/dubstep/rap triple threat featuring Krizz Kaliko and Nicky Nevermind

The king of the Kansas City dubstep scene has started the year off with a bang. Premiering and dropping his latest single, “Menace” features well-known artists Krizz Kaliko and Nicky Nevermind to help round out the banger of a tune.
BLAQOUT went all in on this one and if this is just the start of the year, I am terrified of what is to come.
“Menace” begins with some heavy guitar riffs alongside a dubstep-style beat. Over it is the lyrical genius Krizz Kaliko spitting his verse, setting a sinister tone for the rest of the track.
This track wastes no time taking us into the drop, and once Krizz’s [lyrical] gas sets the tone, we are brought into that nasty drop. The main basses of this drop sound to me like melting honey over a honeycomb inside of a beehive. Hitting your ear just right in a disorienting manner.
The drop reminds us of the simpler times of dubstep, and almost gives a modern take on some old-school vibes. This track, in my opinion, would make the ultimate show opener, as the drop makes you want to move your head back and forth, yet doesn’t obliterate your eardrums right out of the gate.
The gritty tone mixed with the laid-back rhythm seriously creates a vibe for many occasions. Just when you think the drop patterns are beginning to overstay their welcome, the tone switches back to having some slow-moving guitars with another sick verse being done vocally over the track.
This verse acts as the catalyst of sending us into the next drop, which is without a doubt where they saved all of the energy of the track.
The second drop has these insane high basses that almost remind me of Star Wars’ stormtrooper guns being fired, and the chaos of a battlefield in one sound. Hats off to you on the rest of the drop structure.
It is truly beautiful what BLAQOUT managed to pull off with this song.
