New York-based DETØX has been keeping himself busy in 2023 not only with music releases and high-impact show bookings but with fans, audiences, and even household names like A Hundred Drums – who rinsed “Savage” at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, in Morrison, Colorado when she opened for REZZ at her famous annual REZZ Rocks event.

His new release “Savage” is a fun, upbeat, and attitude-centric single that shines light on both trap vibes and more experimental notions with its looping riddim basslines. Combined, it makes for a rump-shaking festival anthem that listeners can not only groove to but sing along to it’s addictive vocal stamps.

DETØX is no stranger to releasing golden hits as he has topped charts with his debut EP “Don’t Be Afraid” landing on the #1 spot in Beatport’s Top 100 Dubstep Release Stats, premiering music with Headbang Society, has publications on both EDM.com, and the Heard It Here First blog platforms, respectively.

Q1: Where did the inspiration and motivation derive from for “Savage“? Walk us through that creative system.

DETØX: – I wanted to create something that was different from my normal style. I like to create feel good music that is more of an all-exclusive-experience by blending the heavy and uplifting styles of EDM together, giving the listener a little bit of everything. As for this song in particular, I just wanted people to get down!

Q2: “Savage” has been rinsed at the venue of all venues, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, by A Hundred Drums. What was that feeling like on that day? 

DETØX: – So it was actually really crazy. I didn’t know she was going to do it. I had a feeling she might because she quoted the lyrics in a comment on Facebook that I made on her post and I was like wait.. and then randomly my friend from Florida gifted me a ticket to Red Rocks and I went. Being in the crowd hearing that felt like a crazy dream. Plus it sounded so good on that system. Super thankful

Q3: What more can we expect from DETØX for the rest of 2023?

DETØX: 52 songs in 52 weeks coming out every Sunday. A bunch of shows in the states with some international. Higher quality content on my social platforms, vlogs, collaborative releases, tutorials, sample packs more availability for mentoring lessons.
