Q1: Thanks for joining us, we are elated to finally have you! Can you give us the origin story of the name and idea behind the Earl The Kid name?

A1: First of all, thanks for having me. Well, I have always been called “Earl” since I started skating but it is not my real name: my friends got me that nickname because we used to watch the TV series “My Name Is Earl” where the main character (Jason Lee) has the same personality traits as I have. “The Kid” is because kids are so creative and irrational which is the best combination to create art, it can be music/paintings/photographs and so on. Nah I’m kidding, I choose it because I still have a baby face under the mask.

Q2: For the unknowing readers, and soon-to-be fans, where are you from?

A2: Men are from Mars and women are from Venus (good book by the way), I am from Saturn. I am currently stuck in London, United Kingdom.

Q3: What lead you into the dance music world, and what ultimately kept you?

A3: If I was happy I would not me inspired to make music. I just convert my feelings/emotions into music especially for such a heavy genre. Anytime I listen to something it has to have an impact on me otherwise I will not be interested at all.

Q4: What impact do you wish to have on the world, whether it’s music or being a role model for others?

A4:  Well, I definitely want to see the world in peace and everything that comes along with it. The change is happening from a small situation that leads by example to something bigger. Music is something magical that comes from the inside (subconcious).

Q5: If someone is dealing with writers-block or just cannot find the mental groove to get into to write music. Do you have any advice for them?

A5: Everyone gets it so it is totally ok and normal. Take a break, listen to some new music, eat donuts and open the DAW again, something will come up.

Q6: You are an advocate for artists suffering from mental illnesses. Can you speak on this topic for us?

A6: People tend to hide their feelings and their emotions because humans relate that to weakness. It is totally the opposite, trust me. We can easily convert that energy into creativity.

Q7: What is life like in the shoes of Earl The Kid? Walk us through a Day-In-The-Life of you!

A7: I wake up, I look at the ceiling (omg what a beautiful feeling, free rhymes for you guys haha), show gratitude to the universe, eat donuts obviously, make as much music as I can, studio session, catch up with other undercover aliens or spend some time with lovely creatures (I love women, especially on this planet), try not to die and then finally go to sleep.

Q8: How did you earn the crown and title of the “Donut King“?

A8: I was long time ago and I worked really hard for it. Nah I am kidding, I just self proclaimed myself as such.

Q9: Your new EP “Donut Invasion” is dedicated to your late best friend. That is very admirable! What sort of creative process did you call upon when approaching this project?

A9: I did a deep meditation thinking about him and somehow I received the inspiration (telepathy and magic together), it is hard to explain.

Q10: What artists inspire you the most to make music? Are there any artists outside the dance realm that also inspire you?

A10: Most of these artist I got inspired by are dead or almost, the list is endless.I read a lot of books so I get also inspired by philosophers, writers and visionaries.

Q11: Where has been your favorite place to play music?

A11: Definitely USA, the best crowd, hospitality and so on. I do love to travel so I am curious to make more people headbang from different cultures.

Q12: What do you feel England does better than any other country (music and non-music related)?

A12: Whiskey for sure, fish and chips and 80’s music.

Q13: Who do you believe deserves more spotlight and recognition in their music careers?
Give them a healthy shout-out!

A13: I am so thankful that I have made quite a few friends in the scene, I can start from Phantex (brilliant man who is hosting monthly a huge livestream event), Felmax (great producer and a really understandable person), Autokorekt (crazy fella, cannot wait to get smashed with him), all the HardWorld family (Skimmr, Noiserux, Riptyle etc, young upcoming producers with their own vision about this planet) and last but not least, one of my best friends, Alex Sampler. If I have to use a bunch of words to describe him it will lose all the deep meaning of brotherhood.

Thank you, Earl The Kid!
